Sergio Aguero returns to training after car crash
Sergio Aguero back in Manchester City after car crash
Manchester City have been handed a huge boost after star striker Sergio Aguero returns to training after suffering broken rib in a car crash in Amsterdam.
Aguero, 29, suffered the injury when the taxi he was travelling in crashed in Amsterdam on September 28, leaving the former Atletico Madridstriker facing up to six weeks on the sidelines.
Argentina national team doctor Donato Villani said last week he believed Aguero was set to be out of action until mid-November.
“He’s feeling very bad because he was really looking forward to coming to play and this incident, which had nothing to do with him, left him out of the two games,” said Villani.
“He’s going to be off the pitch for a month and a half.
“He can’t move in his house, nor get in and out of the car. He seemed very down to me because we wanted to be here.”
The Argentina international, who is one goal shy of Eric Brook’s all-time City record of 177 goals, is unlikely to be fit enough to play a part in Saturday’s home game against Stoke.
