The official website of Unai Emery has accidentally announced his arrival as Arsenal boss.
An image of Emery on a red background next to the Arsenal badge was displayed on unai-emery.com – the official website of the Spanish manager which is linked to on his verified Twitter account.
A message next to the image read ‘proud to be part of the Arsenal family’ – despite the fact the Gunners have yet to officially announce who will be their next manager.
It is not yet known if the image appeared in error or was the work of hackers.
Emery left French side PSG this month after a two-year spell in which he won a league title and four domestic cup competitions.
Previously he guided Sevilla to three consecutive Europa League triumphs between 2014 and 2016.
Arsenal are expected to confirm the 46-year-old as their first new manager in 22 years later this week following the departure of Wenger.
