Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is observing Muslim pilgrimage known as Umrah in the holy Islamic city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Pogba, who has been included in France’s 23-man squad for the World Cup in Russia, said: ‘This a beautiful place. I cannot explain my feeling here. Inshallah [God willing] you all will come here one day. Salam.’
This is not Pogba’s first visit to Mecca having made the pilgrimage at the end of the 2016-17 season where he taught a local how to do his trademark dab celebration.
The Frenchman was undergoing the ‘umrah’ – the non-mandatory pilgrimage to Mecca that can be performed at any time of year.
