Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred is on the verge of finalizing his move to Manchester United early this week.
Fred, 25, is expected to have a medical at United before completing his switch to Old Trafford for a reported £52m.
The Brazilian has won 10 trophies since joining Shakhtar Donetsk from Internacional in 2013, including three Ukrainian top-flight titles.
He came on as a second-half substitute in his side’s 2-0 win against Croatia at Anfield on Sunday.
Asked about the reports, Brazil coach Tite said: “When this happens, and it is inevitable, they are going to come to us and our advice to them is resolve this as soon as you can so your head is back with us and focusing on the national team.”
“If I was a manager I’d ask to sign him as well.”
If the deal goes through, Fred would be Jose Mourinho’s first signing of the summer.
He joined Ukrainian club Shakhtar from Brazilian side Internacional in 2013 and has been a part of their Champions League campaigns.
