Emmanuel Adebayor destroys former Arsenal team-mate

Emmanuel Adebayor has taken a prodigious brutal at Former at former Arsenal team-mate Tomas Rosicky.

Adebayor, who is currently playing for Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir, says the Czech winger was so fragile that he would get injured merely from asking him how he was.

The pair joined the Gunners in 2006, spending three seasons together before the Togo international departed to Manchester City.

The former Borussia Dortmund player made just 170 appearances in 10 years at the club, rarely played during that period due to an array of injuries.

Something Adebayor was keen to highlight when reflecting on Arsenal’s frailty.

“I was the strongest player on the team, despite the fact that I weighed 73kg,” Adebayor told French publication So Foot.

“Chelsea had (Michael) Essien and (Michael) Ballack in midfield. We had Rosicky.

“If you said as much as “how are you” to him, he would then be injured for two-and-a-half months.”

Adebayor claimed Arsenal lacked the physical ability to compete for major honours.

“In the small games, talent can make the difference,” he said. “But you can’t win with children at Old Trafford.”

The 32-year-old made a total of 142 appearances for Arsenal scoring 62 goals and has gone on to have spells with City, Real Madrid, Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
