Dortmund misery continued with away defeat to Stuttgart
Borussia Dortmund are in bad run of form as they slumped to an away defeat to Stuttgart on Friday night.
Dortmund now have just one point from their last five league matches and head into Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Tottenham with only one competitive win.
Chadrac Akolo scored the opener for the host after just five minutes in to that match following a terrible mix-up between Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Buerki and defender Marc Bartra.
Maximilian Philipp equalized for the visitors after Andre Schurrle saw his penalty saved by Ron-Robert Zieler before Philipp reacted quickly to coolly slotted the loose ball into the near top corner to make it 1-1.
Brekalo, who replaced goalscorer Akolo at the interval, capped off a fine solo effort by drilling home a low shot after being put clear by Berkay Ozcan.
Peter Bosz’s side are yet to register a Bundesliga victory since September 30.
