Dortmund 1-2 Tottenham: Kane and Son score to give Spurs perfect win
Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to seal their passage into Champions League knockout stage as Group H winners with a game to spare.
Dortmund took the lead in the 31st minute when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang swept in his 16th goal of the season.
Harry Kane equalised four minutes into the second -half with a clinical low strike from the edge of the box.
The winning goal came from Tottenham’s left flank when Dele beat two defenders and cut the ball back to Heung-Min Son – the South Korean placed the ball in the top-right corner with precision.
Dortmund, who have been winless in their last six matches, will now slug it out with APOEL for third place and a Europa League spot, with both teams on two points.
Spurs’ 2-1 win at Borussia Dortmund means they have claimed top spot on 13 points, with a game to spare, ahead of Real on 10 points.
“The reaction after Saturday was perfect,” Pochettino.
“The team stepped up and after Saturday we were ready to compete here in a difficult game against a difficult team and we are so proud.”
