Spain international midfielder David Silva will be out indefinitely due to ‘personal’ reasons, the club confirmed.
Silva, 31, has not featured for the league leaders since their 4-0 win against Bournemouth before Christmas, and Pep Guardiola explained the issue would keep out the midfielder until he was ‘ready’ to come back.
“I don’t know,” the Coach told Manchester Evening News when asked about the 31-year-old’s return.
“When he is ready, he will come back. But his personal life is always more important than any other situation.
“So, when he comes back it’s because he’s ready, welcome. That is what we have to do.”
