Chelsea target Mauricio Pochettino as next manager

Chelsea are sensationally lining up a move for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino to succeed Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino, 46, is reportedly not happy with Spurs chief Daniel Levy over transfer funds, is aware of interest from Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea have identified Pochettino as the man to bring  back Champions League football they failed to secure and a long-term strategy at Stamford Bridge.

The Argentine has become increasingly frustrated with Tottenham’s failure to back him in the transfer market and made his feelings clear after Sunday’s 5-4 win over Leicester.

He then admitted his future was uncertain as he prepares for crunch talks with Levy this week over the transfer budget and the club’s wage structure.

Antonio Conte, who led Chelsea to the Premier League title last season, is expected to be fired after Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Spurs have finished in the top four in the Premier League for a third straight season under Pochettino.
