Barcelona charged by UEFA with ‘throwing of objects’ in Champions League Cain agains Roma
Barcelona have been charged by Uefa after their fans ‘threw objects around the stadium’ during their Champions League win against Roma at Camp Nou.
Barcelona fans launched yellow balloons from their seats that ended up on the pitch and the referee was forced to halt the game.
The Catalan giants have been sanctioned under Article 16 (2) of UEFA’s Disciplinary Regulations following Wednesday’s 4-1 win.
A UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body will meet on May 31, the same day as their enquiry into the trouble before Liverpool’s clash with Manchester City.
The Catalan giants travel to Rome on Tuesday for the second leg of their tie, in which they are in full command.
